Stormwater/Retention Pumps

We Are Your Solutions Center!

Local, state and Federal guidelines for stormwater and water retention requirements are continually changing and evolving. Pump & Power Equipment and our manufacturers are diligently working to remain ahead of the curve so that we can offer you the finest in equipment and solutions for your needs in these areas.

Here are a few of our solutions to meet your needs...

MWI Couch Pump Company and PPE offer Lineshaft Pumps

Lineshaft pumps are traditional pumps that connect the impeller to the drive by means of a long shaft. They are typically driven by diesel or electric motors that can be connected by utilizing a belt and pulley, gear or direct coupling.

MWI's lineshaft pumps are offered with both high-head, mixed flow impellers and low-head, axial flow impellers. They are available in 8" - 144" (200 - 3,700 mm) diameters with capacities up to 800,000 GPM (50.5 m3/s).

Lineshaft pumps can be installed vertically, horizontally or angled. We can also offer non-standard configurations such as vertical pumps with double discharge elbows, two-bay pumps and more.

Also available are pumps manufactured from special alloy materials such as stainless steel. Drive guards are not shown in illustrations for clarity.

Lineshaft pumps designed in angled or other configurations can dramatically reduce construction costs. There is no need for expensive support structure to hold vertical or canned pumps. Use of the belt drive cuts the cost of expensive low RPM motors.

ABS Pumps & PPE offer superior Submersible Pumps

ABS submersible propeller pumps for pumping large volumes up to 110,950 gpm (7,000 l/s) at heads up to 98.5 ft (30 m). Applications include land dewatering, coastal protection, process water handling, cooling as well as re-circulation in sewage treatment plants.

• ABS submersible pumps offer a wide application range thanks to modular concept.

• Cooling system ensures trouble-free continuous operation even when installed dry

• Permanent seals and temperature monitoring systems help assure long operating life

• High hydraulic and electrical efficiencies aid in economical pump operations

• Pumping stations remain out of sight with subsurface installations
